Handmade Yellow Rose Stained Glass Heart Sun Catcher

A luminous yellow rose heart, handmade from upcycled vintage glass using the same traditional techniques as church stained glass windows. Each heart is individually hand cut and painted, then kiln fired — and the warm golden glow comes from silver stain, the very technique that gives stained glass its name. No two are exactly alike.

The Craft

The heart shape is cut from upcycled vintage glass, painted with the same pigments used in church windows, and kiln fired. A second layer of silver stain is applied to the reverse, creating the beautiful yellow glow that makes each piece shimmer in the light. Some hearts are a deeper yellow, others a softer, paler gold — each one unique.
