Handmade Stained Glass Sun Catcher — Sleeping Moon Face

A gentle, sleeping moon gazes softly from a deep blue sky in this handmade stained glass sun catcher — a luminous window hanging that's quietly magical in any home. Hand painted and kiln fired by UK artist Clare Maryan Green BA Hons, using the same traditional techniques as church stained glass windows.

The Craft

The central moon face is painted and kiln fired twice — first with fine facial detail, then with a warm flesh tone to create its soft, glowing finish. The vintage clear glass is upcycled, framed by a deep blue border that is also partly painted and kiln fired. Every element is permanent and will not fade over time.
