A Magpie at Twilight

This one-of-a-kind handmade stained glass panel captures the magic of the rising moon — mysterious, luminous, and alive with colour. Inspired by a medieval tapestry design, the flying magpie soars through a jewel-toned sky of deep blues and rich teals, with a glowing orange pentacle at its heart.

The symbolism

The pentacle represents wholeness and protection, uniting the five elements — Spirit, Air, Earth, Water, and Fire. A positive and ancient symbol of faith, it anchors the piece with quiet power.

The craft

Handcrafted using traditional leaded glass techniques by UK artist Clare Maryan Green BA Hons. The iridescent glass catches and transforms light throughout the day, making this a living piece of art. Look closely and you'll find Clare's maker's mark — her signature hidden within a tiny glint of treasure.
