Inspired by an ancient church stained glass window, this exquisite oak leaf sun catcher is hand painted on vintage reclaimed glass, silver stained, and kiln fired — a piece that carries centuries of craft in every detail. The warm golden oak leaf glows against a surround of rare flashed pink glass, delicately painted to shimmer with light and texture.

The Craft

The oak leaf is hand painted on vintage reclaimed glass using traditional enamel pigments, then silver stained and double kiln fired — the same ancient technique used in medieval church windows. The surround is an expensive flashed pink glass, individually painted so that it glows with a soft, luminous depth. Every element is permanent and will not fade.
