Vintage Stained Glass Star in Gold

A wonderful way to say “you are a star”.  Each beautiful gold star is made from upcycled vintage glass which is precious and delicate. 

It has been hand cut, then painted and kiln-fired with enamel. Then it has been coated with “silver stain” and re-fired to make it golden. This is the process which gives “stained glass” it’s name. The process dates back to 1350, and is the traditional method in which all church windows are made.

Every star is gift wrapped with authentication label: "Old, sometimes ancient, pieces of glass accumulate from leaded windows. This piece is made from the thinnest glass, too precious to discard." 

Measures approximately 43 mm (plus hook) Approx 2 inches with hook.

Stars are all different as they are hand painted.
