Handmade Gold Star Stained Glass Sun Catcher

A beautiful way to say "you are a star" — this golden stained glass star is handmade from upcycled vintage glass using a traditional technique dating back to 1350. Hand cut, painted, kiln fired, and then silver stained and re-fired to achieve its warm golden glow, each star is unique and utterly luminous in a window.

The Craft

Silver staining is the very process that gives stained glass its name, and it is the same traditional method used to create church windows for centuries. The vintage glass used is thin and precious — salvaged from old leaded windows and too beautiful to discard. Every star is hand painted, so no two are exactly alike.
